People of Saturnalia!
Thank y’all for coming out to race Squaxin Park with us this past weekend. We dodged the worst of the weather (mostly) and the warm gym at Reeves Middle School was a nice and comfortable touch, don’t you agree?

We love this event, as a holiday celebration and season closer. We love sharing these trails with you and we love that you come out, brace the weather, the mud, and the sneaky and steep climbs along the Ellis Cove Trail.

Thank you Cayman Waughtel for hanging out on course and capturing all your incredible performances. Find yourself crushing the trails.

We collected four huge bags of running shoes – thank you all. We’ll turn those into trees, hundreds of them!

Thank you for supporting Rock Candy Running as we’re looking ahead into our sixth year of operation. We got lots of exciting things on the horizon.

A couple teasers:

• Our Little Backyard Adventure races will happen on March 15th and will be again on the same weekend as the Trail Running Film Festival at the Capitol Theater in downtown. We got several super exciting announcements planned for the new year – stay tuned for that.

• And then, of course our big summer event the Beast of Big Creek Skyrace will happen on the first weekend of August. We’re just waiting for permits to get approved before making the official announcements and open registration.
